TWYFORD FARM
Here are the details available at this time for the Twyford Farm league. These figures are based on an entry of forty fishing Twyford only. Should (hopefully!) numbers exceed this then we will look to peg upstream (triplex, Manor leasure) where more consistant Autum sport is found. Entry will be £25 made up of £20 peg fees for 5 matches and £5 towards final payout, top three £100, 60, 40. Pools on the day will be £15. Dates of the matches are arranged around the River Wye so they do not clash. Possible exception is the reserve date for the Wye champs. If this match is rescheduled to the 22nd November the Twyford league will then be moved. The reason is that a lot of people, myself included, do not have a clash of dates. This way from 27th Sept until Christmas we can have a full calender of good river matches.

New Fish 'O' Mania Venues Announced The National Federation of Anglers and Matchroom Sport are pleased to announce that the 2009 PartyPoker.com Fish 'O' Mania will be introducing three new venues into the list of 16 qualifiers for this year's £25,000 competition. Octoplus Boldings Fishery in Bridgnorth, Stafford Moor Fishery in Devon and last year's NFA Ladies National venue Lakeview, will all provide new tests for competitors. THE first of the series of winter opens at Peterstone Fishery is on Saturday and will be pegged on Pencil Lake.
The draw is at 9am, entry costs £15 with £10 of this going into the prize fund to be paid to the top three competitors. There is also a golden peg pool with a  starting value of £100.
Sunday’s big fixture is the first round of the Hereford Winter League for teams of six anglers on the River Wye.

Newport AA has three Sunday open fixtures this month. Woodstock Pond is the venue on October 12 and 26 while the pegs are on Morgans Pond on October 19. The draw each day is at 8.30am with fishing from 10am to 3pm and Neil Harrington is taking entries on 07516 455079.

Final Wales Carp Masters. Held on Celtic Lakes Resorts Wales. October 20th - 21st

SUNDAY’S big fixture is the Penultimate round of the Gwent Clubs Summer League at Woodstock Pond.
The draw is at 8.30am and fishing from 10am to 3pm.
The final round will be at Cefn Mably Lakes on Sunday, September 14.
The next Newport Open is on Morgans Pond on Sunday, September 7 and can be entered with Neil Harrington on 07516 455079.
A very worthwhile event is the Newport Charity Open at Woodstock and Morgans ponds on Sunday, September 28.
